4. Content and the method of implementation

4.3. Negotiation process and evaluation

Negotiation is a process in which two or more parties are involved, with disagreeing positions that are an obstacle to the realization of their interests. Actions taken by the parties are aimed at reaching an agreement, as a result of which the positions will be agreed. This definition seems to be confirmed by theorists and practitioners of this issue. Negotiation is a process in which two parties with some divergent interests try to reach an agreement, e.g. a doctor / difficult patient. The agreement mechanism occurs when the parties realize that an agreement can provide more benefits than actions without agreement. When assessing negotiations, it is worth checking whether the intended goal has been achieved. Determine (in case of failure) what went wrong and how to avoid such mistakes in the future. Determine (in case of success) what we owe it to and how to consolidate these positives.
